DBA- within a DB2 UDB environment AU$75K package
Primary Skills: Relational Database Management, primarily DB2 UDB but
will include some ORACLE, UNIX, and Shell Scripting. A conceptual
understanding of IBM Content Manager On-Demand Application and
it's relationship with IBM DB2 UDB Languages and Development
Methodologies. An understanding of future trends
Responsibilities include: Participation in all development lifecycles
that require delivery of a database � Operational Management of
environments, including tuning of databases, especially IBM UDB on
RS/6000 . Database support for all company internal and external
customers � Provide open communication to other DBAs
�Disseminate knowledge to all Data Centre staff � Proactively appraise
current software and procedures � To familiarise self with the
business SLAs required of the role � Ensure output delivered to
client meets stated objectives the first time � Keep abreast of latest
Database and Unix technology trends � Documentation of all database
environments to be kept current
This role will provide the successful applicant exposure to wide
number of technologies and database environments, client interaction
and pre-sales responsibilities, team leading and mentoring if
required.
