"db2 connect to dbname" you are issuing a connection to a LOCAL database,
however the "db2 connect to dbname user user_id using passw_id" you are
trying to connect to a REMOTE database.
Check if you have the NODE and the DATABASE cataloged, you can issue the
command "db2 list node directory and db2 list database directory.

When I am trying to connect to database with
db2 connect to dbname
it is working fine
but when I try to connect to database as follownig
db2 connect to dbname user userid and using password
it is resulting with the following error.
SQL1402N Unable to authenticate user due to unexpected system error.
does any bobody have solution.
