We have DB2 V6.1 EE installed on Solaris, using /opt/IBMdb2/V6.1. I have just installed DB2 Connect EE V7.1 on the same server using /opt/IBMdb2/V7.1.
Our DB2 instance has various non-mainframe nodes defined in the node directory, and non-mainframe databases in the database directory. If I want to use the new Connect installation as a server for OS/390 access, do I catalog the new entries in the existing node and database directories, or are there new directories to be populated in the new V7.1 path? If so, how do I use these in place of the existing V6.1 directories? (Whenever I issue '.../V7.1/bin/db2 list node directory' I see the existing V6.1 entries. Ditto 'list database directory'.)
