We have an application running on OS/390 which we want to run on Unix. In these Cobol programs we don't use EXEC SQL BEGIN DECLARE SECTION. Is there any option to Precompile them without it? Another one: all the programs use views. If we had an instance on Unix, can we define some of the tables in this instance and access other tables (not only for select) on the mainframe without changing the program? I mean, some views point to the instance in Unix and others to the mainframe. King regards, Horacio Villa TTI S. A.
