the backup utility works on extents, the default extentsize is 32 - 4K
pages. So this will give you 4 extents (128 -4k pages) + 1 4Kpage for the
buffer overhead. This has shown very good performance and size
characterestics in our benchmarking.
If you change the extentsize of the tablespaces always use a multiple of
the largest extentsize + 1.
