Folks,
I am attempting to apply fixpacks on Solaris 2.8, DB2 UDB 7.2 GA and
getting errors. I did the following :
Installed fixpack 8 on 7.2 GA(success)
Uninstalled fixpack 8 then uninstalled DB2 UDB 7.2 GA (Success)
Removed all the subdirectories under /opt/IBMdb2/V7.1 ( It looks pretty
clean)
Reinstalled DB2 UDB 7.2 GA (success)
Reinstalled Fixpack 4 (not fixpack 8) - Errors :
INFO: Do NOT interrupt while installing patch 172040-000...
ERROR: The patch 172040-000 has been superseded by the patch 1720800-000
This patch cannot be installed.
INFO: Do NOT interrupt while installing patch 172040-000...
ERROR: The patch 172040-001 has been superseded by the patch 1720800-001
This patch cannot be installed.
Got the same above errors until patch 1720800-008
Before installing Fixpack 4 I also checked /var/sadm/patch directory and
there is no patches left with 1720800...
Where do I find above patches (1720800... ) for fixpack 8 to remove before
installing fixpack 4:
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
