It was a Western Digital UW-SCSI, 4GB. It died with a sound that would make blood curdle.
Anyway, that disk contained one of the several containers of a tablespace.
Now the database will not start, for obvious reasons.
Is there a way of recovering some of the tables' data from the remaining containers?
