We have DB2 v7 on OS/390 and on AIX.
On AIX we have defined a node as follows:
db2 catalog tcpip node macddb2p remote macd server 5020
db2 catalog dcs database db2prod as db2prod
db2 catalog database database db2prod at node macddb2p
We can now connect from AIX to the database on OS/390
db2 connect to db2prod
But now we want to connect from OS/390 to the AIX databases.
Is it possible, and if so, how to define this connection?
The reason we want this is that we want to use the replication
(datapropagator)
to replicate from OS/390 database to the AIX database, and we want the
apply proces
on the OS/390 machine (push data).
With the above node definition we are able to replicate data from OS/390 to
AIX, but
then we have to run the apply proces on AIX (pull data). If posible we
don't want this.
