[DB2EUG] hyperthreading on xeon

hello all--   i am contemplating which new intel box to get to run V8 on.  long story but i can only buy something from dell.  i remember a posting from a while back where it was mentioned that DB2 doesn't like the Xeon's hyperthreading.  does anyone have any experience?  if i disable it, is there a significant performance difference between a dual xeon box and a dual p-iv box?  i will be running some variation of linux, probably RH8 but maybe SuSE.   thanks steve
