The ffff 8138 in an internal return code indicating that one of your
tablespaces is in a state that is incompatible with backup.
I would proceed by checking the state of all of my tablespaces using the
"db2 list tablespaces" command.
Can you please send me the output from the "db2level" command so that I can
ensure this internal error code is properly mapped to a external error
code.

Hi all
Has anybody had the following before when backing up to ADSM?
Database Connection Information
Database server = DB2/6000 7.2.5
SQL authorization ID = PDB2ARDB
Local database alias = RID
SQL0969N There is no message text corresponding to SQL error "-32456" in
the
message file on this workstation. The error was returned from module
"buildApp" with original tokens "".
I have just performed an online backup to TSM (ADSM) and all seems ok now.
What a mystery ...
