Company in Appleton, Wisconsin needs a DB2 DBA with Peoplesoft experience to join its' IT staff.

No H-1B or green card candidates please. *Description: This newly developed position will be responsible for PeopleSoft implementation and applications in an IBM pSeries environment Duties: - Provide a leadership role in database requirements planning, policy definition, and administration. - Develop and define backup and recovery procedures. - Manage backups and recoveries of databases, files, tables, indexes, etc. - Create and manage PeopleSoft database objects such as databases, roles, etc. - Implement security for users and roles of users at the database level. - Monitor and tune database performance for greatest efficiencies. - Manage and assist in the application and documentation of PeopleSoft patches and fixes. *Requirements: -BS degree in CS or related field -3+ years as DB2 database administration in an IBM pSeries environment with PeopleSoft experience. -Extensive knowledge of SQL. -Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills. -Ability to transfer and mentor business and technical staff members. -Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. -Ability function in a team environment. *-U.S. citizenship or permmanent residency is also required.
