A year or so ago, I downloaded the free DB2 Connect PE 7.1. My PC has now been rebuilt (IBM DB2 UDB 7.2 fixpak 10a installed) and I need to download it again. I can't install 8.1 because we have 7.1 servers I need to connect to. I've just downloaded DB2 Connect PE 8.1 to have a look.
My questions:
1) Can I get a free copy (like the one I had before) of DB2 Connect PE 7.1 from somewhere?
2) If not, can I install DB2 Connect PE 8.1 alongside my UDB 7.2 (I'm guessing the answer is no, because it prompted me to uninstall DB2!)?
3) If not, when will the 8.1/7.1 client/server incompatibility issue be resolved, if at all?
Cheers.
