Our client, a software solutions provider in NYC, is seeking a Senior DBA to assess a DB2 UDB/SAP environment and to recommend the best layout of the database files on network storage devices. Implementation of the solution using well-known replication software and custom shell scripts may be required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be knowledgeable of DB2 UDB data file locations and best practices and have experience with backup and recovery procedures, including renaming the database.
- OS level command and shell scripting knowledge on AIX, Sun Solaris, or HP-UX is a plus.
- Project management or client management experience.
- Willing to travel.
- Willing and able to work long hours in a high-pressure environment.
- Must have the ability to work independently, gather requirements, communicate with the client, and work in a fast-paced, environment on several clients at once.
SALARY: $85K-$90K, Annual
