Each page of bufferpool needs (from memory) 100 bytes of DBHEAP. So be sure to make this big enough before bouncing DB2 to bring your bufferpool changes into effect. Otherwise the system will not start (there is a registry variable which you can use to bring up the system with minimum size bufferpools to allow you to correct this problem).
