I linked the dbase component of Open Office 2 beta to my MySQL tables and
noticed that it had problems with some of the table. Some tables would work
fine and other would not allow me to add or delete data. These tables would
also not show a list of fields in the query designer. I made a copy of the bad
table and deleted one field at a time until it worked. We have a field in
several tables called 'check#' and the # in the name is what is causing it to
not work. To test this I created a new table with one field - test. I opened
it and dbase worked with it just fine. I then changed the name to test# and it
bombed out.
