After reading this (http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?p=116217#116217), I started creating a duplicate of the db file on which I was working as an emergency backup, but the forms in the backup somehow managed to disapear too (maybe I opened the backup file too soon after the crash?). I rebooted my computer and opened a different db file, and the forms in there were okay.
