I started from a fesh database file, moved over a much simplified data schema and then copied over the caseDetails form. The first thing I did was delete all of the grid controls on the sub forms and then udpated the links on the sub-form dataform components. Then added back the grids one at a time. This seemed to make things move along fairly well, I was able to remove the grid navigators no problem. I then started changing the actual column controls for things such as changing a FK field to use a ListBox. After about the third one of these I began to experience the same crash events as I had witht he earlier file. I did not save the report to attach here, but I did send it via the internet upon recovery. I don't know if this would have anything to do with this, but I have noticed that attempting to call a 'Item Status Change' event from a listBox in a grid will not generate the actual call. I have also noticed that once a couple of grids on sub-forms are added another odd bug pops up. If you are in a column on one of the grids, and the table it is attached to has a required field you have not input data to yet AND you switch to a different OO.o document, when you switch back to the Base form an error box opens reporting that the data could not be written to the database? Just mention that in case it is somehow related. I will be opening seperate issues for both of these, and one other, problem I have found on this form. I am attaching the new database to this issue, and will then refer to this when I enter the other issues.
