------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Sep 29 15:44:22 +0000 2007 ------- After installing OpenOffice 2.3 and opening OpenOffice Base, I created a new databse called New Database, and I clicked on the Tables icon under Database on the left hand side. I immediately received an error prompt loop where it gave me an error message that the current selected java is not correct and said I should choose another one using Options > Tools (or something). Then I pressed OK and another error prompt came up saying something like the JRE could not compile or the JRE is not working. I hit OK again and the aforementioned messages would repeat over and over again until you use Task Manager to end soffice.bin. Extra Note: When I checked the Java settings, none of the java installations were selected. That turned out to be the problem. I ran the below solution and it worked fine. Solution: 1. After opening OpenOffice Draw, do not click on Tables. 2. Go to Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Java and tick one of the java installations. I used the one located at C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02. Hope I contributed. :) ~Ron --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
