I can confirm this using 2.3.1 on XP

invoice_1 uses qry_inv_1 ( works )
invoice_2 uses qry_inv_2 ( copied qry_inv_1 and turned escape processing off )
No data displayed in report _2 - although all the records are scanned as you can
see from the formatting in the detail section.
