The function of the visible checkbox is functioning correctly. When the column
is not marked as visible then the contents of the column are not returned as
part of the result set, to any consumer of the result set. It has nothing to do
with the report wizard.
For instance assume I have this SQL statement:
SELECT foo.col_1 from foo foo where foo.col_2 < 10
Of course the result set includes only a single column, col_1
To create that select statement in the GUI query designer then you wold need to
add Col_2 for the 'where clause' but would then un_tick the visible checkbox.
I am closing this issue then as invalid.
