When connecting to MySQL via JDBC the application hangs.

This bug is present in NeoOffice 2.2.2. patch 10 and OpenOffice 2.3.0 on MacOS
X 10.4.11.

JDBC is loaded from "mysql-connector-java-5.1.5-bin.jar"

I found the bug when connecting to a new database and testing the connection.
(with or without
password)

The connection problem is not limited to the "test connection" as it will also
happen when trying to
access the database after completing the wizard (without the test so it doesn't
hang) e.g. clicking the
'tables' button in the data base editor.

MySQL does receive the connection which immidiatly gets into the 'sleep' status
as shown by MySQL
Administartor. It shows that the connection has been made with the user
specified in OO.

lsof for soffice.bin shows the IP connection with mysql and its return.

I have a process sample files of both binaries at the hanging point which i can
provide.
