------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 18 19:34:35 +0000 2008 ------- After having worked with a database file based on an odbc driver, having closed it (quickstarter still running), and then having shut down the computer, the next time I start it up OOo auto recovery pops up telling me there would have been a crashed document, but providing no name, only the base icon. If I choose recover, then the database I last worked with opens. workaround: close quickstarter before shutting down windows, a bit annoying When debugging a i18n problem I started odbc logging and found out: quickstarter keeps an existing odbc connection open; I had to exit it to start a new connection. Maybe this has slight performance benefits when reusing connections with remote servers, but in most cases - when connection to a local database - there is no advantage at all. As long as the auto recovery feature detects interrupted odbc connections as something to recover, odbc connections should be closed with the last database using it. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
