Whether one uses MySQL, Oracle, Postgresql or any other database from the Linux
desktop, finding and configuring proper ODBC/JDBC drivers is a major challenge
for those who have never had to deal with them. While I don't expect Sun to
reduce this process to a set of novice-proof menus, it would be exceedingly
helpful if it would provide some practical and succinct guidance on this matter
in a help file. In particular, users need to know where they can obtain drivers
for any of the major relational databases and how to install same on each of the
major flavors of Linux.
