Fixing this would be possible in two ways: First, our low level result sets
could ensure that the column names they provide to higher levels are always
unique. Second, or forms (and the table/query data view is a form with a table
control, really) could be able to not only bind their column/controls by name
(which is the case today), but also by index.
I'd prefer the first way at the moment, since obviously, there already exists
code for this which comes into play when a native SQL statement is executed.
