I updated my "Sun" OOo to 3.1.1 and I have only 3.1 go-oo source installed.
Tried again and and not such issue what I submitted, but connected to formatted
control but independent from table filed type. Changed summary.
I tried in OOo 2.4.0(Portable) and works in all versions of OOo similar.

Yes it is, more clearly it is inserts 0 (zero) into table field, and not inserts
that data what I put into a form control, and try to save into table.
My tests, steps:
1. open form, use navigation toolbar, create new record
2. add number to first formatted controls,
3. click into second, add number, not leave formatted control,
4. save record with icon on navigation toolbar, data saved only in the active
control connected field
5. it works independently from which formatted control selected fist.
Second try (works same in all OOo version):
in step 3. leave formatted control,
4. save with icon on form navigation toolbar, error message: "Error inserting
new record" "Function sequence error" and More gives: "SQL Status: HY010"

5. no data saved into table
