I'll show a better error message which will state to open the odb file in an old
version and to connect and to close it.
The log file exists because the seldom case appeared that OOo crashed ;-)
Or are you able to create such a log file without crashing OOo? If so please
describe how.
The other fix to shut it down would require to start the old hsqldb jar which
could be more complicated.
