Open any existing SRB report in edit mode.
Click to different fields, and check the Formatting... property values shown in
edit window.

If you click on
date type connected field shows: current date in format YYYY.MM.DD
time: current time in format HH:MM:SS
boolean: TRUE
number: 1234,57
And what is wrong and misleading the
text: 1234,57
You can not differentiate between number and text formatting for first look.
Needs some dummy text to insert here.

If you open formatting dialog box, you can check it.

If a field formatted wrongly the report, results in reports will be different.
If you use functions like IF compare two integer values and result is a text, if
field formatted to number it will show 0 or 1, not the desired text value.
