darn - I was wrong HSQLdb does still support FIRST and it does work with OOo3.2
in direct SQL mode.
SELECT TOP 10 * FROM "BillingCodes" AS "BillingCodes"
Works fine in direct mode under HSQLdb 1.8 but not sure it will under the
upcoming 2.0.
The OOo parser does not recognize it any longer. hmmm
