I tested now, and now I understand your problem, and confirm the issue.
If assign label to text control you con not remove this assignment, nor with
option "No assignment", nor deleting labels from form control General tab "label
field".
The file created in OOO330m8, and same happens with all earlier version i find
in my computer (3.1.1-DEV300m88), on win7.
To reproduce it:
Open attached odb file.
Open form in edit mode.
Doubleclick on text controls, to open properties.
Try to delete the "Lablel field" property content, can not be removed by
backspace, or select all text and press Delete button, the label remains in
property.
Click on ... right to field, the window opens, select option "No assignment",
press OK, reopen window the "No assignment" is unchecked, the label remains
assigned.
