User error. The executeUpdate does work. I am passing a date filed in the SQL
string that is not being accepted now: "UPDATE ITEMS SET TOTAL=" &
TotalQuantity & ", DATE='" & tmp & "' WHERE ITEMS_ID=" & ItemsID . This
statement is valiud in Linux version of database. Sorry for the invalid issue.
