Wonderful. Welcome. Thanks! I believe joining the list just requires an (e.g., empty) email to dbdi-dev-subscr...@perl.org For commit access, send me an email address associated with a google account. Also hang out on the irc.freenode.org #dbdi channel. The're a log at http://irclog.perlgeek.de/dbdi/today > I will check out the current code and try to understand > how it works. Great. Having read the list you'll know that currently 'the code' is the java2perl6 tool. That's a steping stone on the path to DBDI. I'm aiming to write up "the plan" this week (before my vacation) so that'll force me to put some "flesh on the bones" on my hazy vision and mixed metaphors! > My motivation on this is to push perl6 forward. > We need applications. Agreed! The time has come. > Is there a tiny practical task I can start with? Good question. Apart from playing with java2perl6, start experimenting with the SQLite support in parrot. I haven't yet but it's probably one of the directions we'll need to move in soon so getting more experience in the team would be good. > Thanks! Thank you! Tim.
