Hi, First of all, excuse my grammar mistakes, because I'm spanish and I seldom write in English.
We are trying to install DBD and DBI modules in HP-UX 11.0 and we have a lot of problems. Is there an special module for HP-UX? Because we download software from http://search.cpan.org/Catalog/Database_Interfaces/ and all what I see in Internet is about Solaris. The error is --> /perl/dbi/DBD-Oracle-1.12>make rm -f blib/arch/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.sl LD_RUN_PATH="/ora00/oracle8.1.7/lib" ld -b -L/usr/local/lib Oracle.o dbdimp.o oci7.o oci8.o /ora00/oracle8.1.7/rdbms/lib/ssdbaed..o /ora00/oracle8.1.7/rdbms/lib/defopt.o /ora00/oracle8.1.7/lib/nautab.o /ora00/oracle8.1.7/lib/naeet.o /ora00/oracle8.1.7/lib/naect.o /ora00/oracle8.1.7/lib/naedhs.o /ora00/oracle8.1.7/rdbms/lib/kpuadef.o -l:libcl.a -o blib/arch/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.sl -L/ora00/oracle8.1.7/lib/ -lclntsh -lnbeq8 -lnhost8 -lnus8 -lnldap8 -lldapclnt8 -lnsslb8 -ln8 -lncrypt8 -ln8 -lncrypt8 -lnoname8 -lntcp8 -lntcps8 -lnsslb8 -lnent8 -lntcp8 -lntns8 -lnsgr8 -lnzjs8 -ln8 -lnl8 -lnro8 -lnbeq8 -lnhost8 -lnus8 -lnldap8 -lldapclnt8 -lnsslb8 -ln8 -lncrypt8 -ln8 -lncrypt8 -lnoname8 -lntcp8 -lntcps8 -lnsslb8 -lnent8 -lntcp8 -lntns8 -lnsgr8 -lnzjs8 -ln8 -lnl8 -lclient8 -lvsn8 -lwtc8 -lcommon8 -lgeneric8 -lwtc8 -lmm -lnls8 -lcore8 -lnls8 -lcore8 -lnls8 -lnbeq8 -lnhost8 -lnus8 -lnldap8 -lldapclnt8 -lnsslb8 -ln8 -lncrypt8 -ln8 -lncrypt8 -lnoname8 -lntcp8 -lntcps8 -lnsslb8 -lnent8 -lntcp8 -lntns8 -ln sgr8 -lnzjs8 -ln8 -lnl8 -lnro8 -lnbeq8 -lnhost8 -lnus8 -lnldap8 -lldapclnt8 -lnsslb8 -ln8 -lncrypt8 -ln8 -lncrypt8 -lnoname8 -lntcp8 -lntcps8 -lnsslb8 -lnent8 -lntcp8 -lntns8 -lnsgr8 -lnzjs8 -ln8 -lnl8 -lclient8 -lvsn8 -lwtc8 -lcommon8 -lgeneric8 -ltrace8 -lnls8 -lcore8 -lnls8 -lcore8 -lnls8 -lclient8 -lvsn8 -lwtc8 -lcommon8 -lgeneric8 -lnls8 -lcore8 -lnls8 -lcore8 -lnls8 -lrt -lpthread -ldld -lm -lpls8 -lsql8 ld: invalid BFD target `-L/usr/local/lib' *** Error exit code 1 Stop. and we have changed the gcc version for the special HP-UX one that whe downloaded from http://hpux.connect.org.uk.
