Nothing much. The call for funding wasn't a great success:
https://donate.perlfoundation.org/index.pl?node=Fund+Drive+Details&selfund=102
(The $500 at the top was actually a contribution for DBD::Oracle
and was unrelated to the call for funding. So it raised $820.)

I'm very grateful to all who contributed - especially as most
were individuals rather than companies - but $820, or even $1320,
doesn't buy a lot of time.

After some reflection I decided this was, at least partly, a good thing!

Clearly the world doesn't really need DBI v2. The world will need
DBDI for parrot and a DBI for Perl 6 (only most of the world doesn't
know that yet :-).

So currently The Plan is to keep polishing DBI v1 incrementally
while (trying to) write a new edition of the DBI book.
Then focus on DBDI for parrot etc.

I'll probably try to parcel up chunks of work and call for volunteers
for each chunk.

I'll may also suggest to The Perl Foundation that the DBI fund,
such as it is, be used to compensate those volunteering, and
deliverying, some of those chunks. Helping those who help others.

Tim.
