If there is any further information that I can provide to help diagnose the issue, please let me know. I understand the concern of wanting to understand the issue completely before changing anything but when you're dealing with a closed source binary integration point (e.g. the Oracle client) this may prove quite difficult. In my opinion, adding an option to change the current behavior is low risk and completely satisfactory for resolving my issue while leaving current behavior unchanged. If there are concerns that this may be affecting others, perhaps it would make sense to change the default behavior but this is not something I'm asking for.
