Check out http://www.cedet.dk/perl/index.html. A copy of the files from ftp://esoftmatic.com/outgoing/DBI is there. You need to download and access them locally from ppm.

Hope I am not asking THE Stupid Question, but I recently upgraded to ActiveState 5.8.0 and want to install DBD-Oracle. I cannot seem to connect to repositories for the binaries. I have tried: ftp://ftp.esoftmatic.com/outgoing/dbi/806 and http://www.xmlproj.com/ppm I am running: a WinNT: b PPM 3.1 c Perl v5.8.0, Binary build 806 from ActiveState d A Dialup Connection e Totally out of Hair! PPM yields no result (even if I do: >PPM search * ) In either repository. Using the browser (IE) I cannot even connect to either site. I know the maintainers of the 2 sites are: a Really great people b Probably too busy to field a question directly So I am hoping someone on the list who has dealt with similar frustration can help me out.
