I am running Suse 9.0. I am running Perl 5.8.1 and
GCC 3.3. I tried to install the CPAN DBI/DBD bundle
with:
perl -MCPAN -e 'install Bundle::DBI::mSQL'
The script works well, goes to the ftp, downloads the
files properly. I got the DBI 1.42 installed just
fine. I can't seem to get the DBD 1.2219 installed
however. When the make test runs, it fails. Errors
during the make are:
illegal prototype for main::ErrMsgF : @_ t/lib.pl line
254
I asked it to install only msql 2 or 3 (option 2). My
msql directory is:
/usr/bin/msql3
I am using msql3 but that's because it's the only
thing available now. I tried downloading and
compiling msql2 but got too many errors, I assume
because of version incompatibility with the GCC
compiler. I tried to rpm 2.0.5 but that needed lite
libraries.
Can show me a way out of this mess!!!
