Have you downloaded the DBD modlue yet?  That would be
the first step, then read the README.

Also, as I remember from last year when I did this on
HP-UX 11i, life was a little easier with the ANSI C
compiler although I believe it's possible to do this
with gnu C.  Again, memory a little hazy from last
year.
