Where I work they pay a fortune to RH, who maintain but do /not/ upgrade their RHE devil-spawn Perl V 5.8.0. I get syntax errors just trying to install Contextual::Return, for example. This means I can't install Damian Conway's Class::Std to use 'inside-out' classes. I have permission to install and maintain my own Perl, but that creates overhead for me.
