Solaris advertises itself as a true multi-processing OS
does this mean one main process (and all other processes inherit static
representation of main process)..if anyone has been following Apache prefork
then inherting the same environment for all preforked processes adds 0
capability for dynamically configured webapps

2 questions:
1)does the user base want the ability to dynamically configure LD_LIBRARY_PATH?
definitely!

2)Is it practical to implement this feature in the OS?
if any OS supports this feature then so should Solaris!

the question is will Admiral Ellison be able to affect these supposedly minor
modifications
to expand current revenues from OS sales and increase Solaris share of OS
market?

lets hope so!
