Hi all, I may need to upgrade our DBD-Oracle from 1.12 to a newer version where the utf-8 flag is turned on automatically when fetching data from a utf-8 db. Is there any way to prevent DBD-Oracle from setting this flag? My perl environment does handle utf-8 but we -for now- I dont want this flag turned on or deal with this. All data returned should just stay a byte string all the time, but it's too expensive/laborious to apply a downgrade after each time I fetch data.Any hint greatly appreciated! Tks,Cs
