________________________________ Hi- I've successfully run a "make test" for DBI on a system<http://www.dbforums.com/> with perl 5.2.8.
When I attempt the same thing on an AIX system with perl<http://www.dbforums.com/> 5.8.8, I get errors and a core file<http://www.dbforums.com/> starting with this message: # Failed test 'null: DBD::Gofer::db selectall_arrayref failed: No write permission to sdbm file at /tmp/install<http://www.dbforums.com/>/DBI-1.616/blib/lib/DBD/DBM.pm line 429. at /tmp/install/DBI-1.616/blib/lib/DBI/DBD/SqlEngine.pm line 795; DBD::DBM::st execute failed [for Statement "SELECT dKey, dVal FROM fruit ORDER BY dKey"] at /tmp/install/DBI-1.616/blib/lib/DBI/Gofer/Execute.pm line 451. [for Statement "SELECT dKey, dVal FROM fruit ORDER BY dKey"] at ./t/85gofer.t line 181. I've checked both systems, and the permissions on those files appear to be the same- which is -r--r--r-- Any solutions out there?
