Have You Found Any Fault In Him?
“Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.” John 19:4 It was a horrible scene. Jesus, the spotless Son of God, there in the midst of the vile, shouting mob. It was not even a decent attempt to give Jesus a fair trial. The enemies of the Master were determined at all cost to kill Him. His pure, sinless life was a constant rebuke to their lives of selfishness and sin. When Pilate offered to release Jesus they screamed in rage, “No! No! Not this man! Give us Barabbas! Give us Barabbas!” This man was a convicted criminal – a robber. Yet those who wanted to silence Jesus demanded that Barabbas be freed and that Christ be sentenced to die. “Then Pilate laid open Jesus’ back with a leaded whip, and the soldiers made a crown of thorns and placed it on his head and robed him in royal purple. ‘Hail, “Kind of the Jews!”’ They mocked, and struck him with their fists” (John 19:1-3, T.L.B.). Then follows our text for today: “Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him.” “I find no fault in him.” What a testimony! Jesus from the time that He was a little boy, through His adolescence, youth, and manhood, lived so close to His heavenly Father that no one could find a single word, a single action, for which they could blame Him! Nor has anyone else, since the weak, vacillating Pilate uttered those words centuries ago, been able to find any fault in Jesus. There have been many who scorned His poverty. They have been quick to criticize. There have been millions who have refused to accept Him for what He truly is – the divine Son of God – but they have not been able to find fault in Him. Jesus’ life of tender love, His never-failing compassion, His kindness and thoughtfulness, His unselfishness in service for others – all testified of a perfect life – a life with which no one could find fault. Did you ever stop to think, young people, that if you and I are ready when Jesus returns we also must have characters like His? We must be true overcomers. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Deaf-Blind Inspirational Life Group" group.
