HE SAVES THE BEST FOR LAST!

When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the
LORD gave him twice as much as before! Then all his brothers, sisters, and
former friends came and feasted with him in his home. And they consoled him and
comforted him because of all the trials the LORD had brought against him.
And each of them brought him a gift of money and a gold ring.
So the LORD blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the
beginning.
Job 42:10-12a

Are you ready for God to bless you just as He blessed Job? I am ready for the
second half of my life to be more blessed than the first! However, there is
a key here that we discussed yesterday - confession, repentance, and submission!

Job recognized that he was a little out of bounds. He confessed that truth and
then he began praying for the people he loved. God answered Job's prayer.
Then, the people in Job's life began giving him gifts. They apparently
recognized the importance of planting seeds in fertile ground and I believe Job
was definitely fertile; even at his age he had more children! (I'm not sure if
that was a blessing or not.)

Another aspect of helping hurting people get past their pain and into God's
purpose for their life is reaching the point of forgiveness. If we are going
to walk in the anointing and favor of God we have to reach this point and even
go beyond.

Job asked God to bless those who had hurt him! Early on in my walk with the
Lord a wise woman taught me that I must bless people who had wronged me. She
taught me to pray for them and ask God to bless them. She also taught me that
when I do that I am receiving a blessing as well. What passes through my
mouth also comes to me.

Remember me teaching a while back that when we curse our parents it boomerangs?
The same is true with blessing. When we bless others that too boomerangs
on us! Now, isn't it more blessed to give than to receive? Oh, it works both
ways - how quickly we forget!

Father, we confess that we haven't blessed those who curse us yet. We apologize
and want to right those wrongs. We recognize that whether it is a blessing
or a curse, all things coming into our lives must first pass your "okay." So,
we purposely forgive those people who have hurt or wronged us and ask that
You bless them indeed, give them all that they need. We also recognize that
when You bless us we are responsible to pass those blessings on to anyone You
place in our lives. We are ready. We stand at the door of opportunity and wait
on You!

Well, that's it for Job, I think I'm going to pull from an election year now.
