HOW'S YOUR EYESIGHT?

Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and smoothed the mud over
the blind man's eyes. He told him, "Go and wash in the pool of Siloam" (Siloam
means Sent). So the man went and washed, and came back seeing!
His neighbors and others who knew him as a blind beggar asked each other, "Is
this the same man-that beggar?" Some said he was, and others said, "No, but
he surely looks like him!"
And the beggar kept saying, "I am the same man!"
They asked, "Who healed you? What happened?"
He told them, "The man they call Jesus made mud and smoothed it over my eyes
and told me, 'Go to the pool of Siloam and wash off the mud.' I went and washed,
and now I can see!"
"Where is he now?" they asked.
"I don't know," he replied.
John 9:6-12

I truly believe that God's sense of humor is displayed in this mode of healing.
All Jesus had to do was say the man was healed and he would have received
his sight. However, he chose to have the man take an active role in his
healing. Could that be like us going to a doctor or having surgery today? Maybe
so. One thing we do know - the man was blind, but once he obeyed Jesus he could
see.

Now, I'm not the smartest person on the globe, but I don't think it takes a
real smart person to figure out that this blind man probably needed someone
to go with him to Siloam's pool! In the step of faith it took for the blind man
to ask for help and for the other person to get involved with him, we learn
another lesson. We are sent by Jesus, in faith, to do the work He called us to
do.

To this man, Jesus was just a man - a man who healed his sight. He didn't even
know where Jesus was, but in any event he was a changed man. People were
astounded at the change. They didn't believe it was the same man. Well, that's
the way it is when Jesus allows us to experience His miracle working power
in us.

Anytime God grants us a miracle it is not only for our good, but also for the
good of the people whose lives our life touches and the Kingdom. I believe
that with all my heart. I also believe that is why God has done so many
marvelous things in my life. He knows that no matter what He does in my life -
big or little - I will share it with anyone who will listen - or read! How
about you? Are you willing to share the miracle(s) He works in your life?

We will be happy to pass them along to others if you will send your story to
us. After all, we all need a fresh woe to wow story!

Father, I praise You for many, many reasons, but today I praise You for the
fact that You aren't limited in Your methods of miracles. I praise You for the
way Jesus worked the miracle in this man's life and how it continues to affect
people to this very day. Heal all of us Lord. Heal our spiritual eyesight
so that we might see every opportunity You allow into our lives for Your
miracle working power to be manifested! We love you Lord!
