~For burnt on coffee in the coffee pot, place at least a half dozen ice
cubes and about 1/3 cup of  salt into the pot (after it's cooled down).
Swish the pot around, using the ice and salt as an  abrasive to scrub the
burnt-on coffee away.

~If the coconut in your cupboard is dry, but still good, just spread 
it out on a cookie sheet and  toast it in a low oven.  
Store in an airtighd bag and
use as toppings for desserts or other  recipes.

~For a beautiful, yet quick fall decoration, weave orange, red, and yellow
ribbons through a  basket and fill with leaves, candy corn, or 
acorns. 
Wrap a large bow around the handle for an  added touch.

~Make your own hair treatment at a fraction of the cost!  
Mix 1 tbsp. lemon juice and 3 eggs in a  blender until well combined.  
Apply to clean, damp hair and let it sit for about 15 minutes.   
Rinse with cool water for a beautiful shine.

~Use a squeeze bottle to fill your iron with water.  
You can control the amount better and not  spill a drop!

~Whenever you have left over vegetables, puree them in the blender and
freeze in an ice cube tray.   
Once frozen, store them in a resealable bag
and pop one or two into your stew or soup for added  flavor.

~Before giving your child bad tasting medicine, let them suck on an ice pop 
It will "numb"  his/her taste buds and there won't be a big commotion next
time!

~Remove water spots from stainless steel with rubbing alcohol or white
vinegar applied with a damp sponge.

~Keep a dry sponge in the veggie crisper to absorb excess moisture to help
the fruits and veggies stay fresh longer.

~To make glue, mix 3 tsp. of cornstarch with 4 tsp. of cold water to 
make a smooth paste.  
Boil 1/2 cup of water and stir into the paste.  
The mixture should become clear.  Use when cool.

~Put a musty smelling book in a brown paper bag with baking soda and 
let sit for about one week or until the smell is gone.

~To vacuum fine pet hairs from a carpet, spray first with water.

~Keep index cards with the names of guests that have come to dinner.  
Make notes of allergies, preferences, etc. for a quick look up prior to 
your next dinner party.

~Threading a needle will be a bit easier by spraying the tip of the 
Thread with hairspray to stiffen it a bit.

~Clean a painted wall easily by applying furniture polish and buffing it
well.

~Here's an easy conversion for oven recipes to crock pot recipes:  
If the "oven" recipe calls for 15-30 minutes of cooking time, cook in a 
crock pot on low for 4-8 hours or on high for 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours.  
For 30-60 minutes of "oven" cooking time, cook on low for 6-8 hours or on
high for 3-4 
hours.
For 1-3 hours of "oven" cooking time, cook on low for 8-16 hours or on high
for 4-6 hours.

~Place a rubber sink mat on the seat of a high chair to prevent sliding.

~Apply white vinegar on a cloth then rub salt stains off shoes.  
This is Not recommended for suede shoes!!
