Paying homage is special in every way,
We should not wait for a holiday.
Showing respect and reverence to those who have done so much,
By giving them a kind word, a smile and a gentle touch.
Ordinary people must be recognized as well,

by listening to their stories they happily relate and tell.

Awards, certificates, and medals are not necessary to show appreciation,
Fill their hearts with smiles,
mirth and cheers of elation.
For all have a time to shine and to excel,
So let us applaud all who care and do so well.
