Touched by a heartwarming story am I, As emotions of all kinds within me soar and fly. When stories convey joy, my heart dances and sings, As the bell of happiness merrily rings. When stories convey tragedy and sorrow, my soul does cry, Tears of sadness flow from my eye. For God feels our pain and sees our smiles, As we show compassion for others as they wearily traverse life's long and winding miles. He does lighten the burdens and eases the load, Comforting all along the journey on the road. We must not think displaying emotions shows a weakness or are a mark of shame, Never again must we play apathy's game. We must share the pain of others with empathy and caring in our hearts, For God has kindled all His souls with His Divine loving and soothing spark.
