Hello to all,
Just after Christmas, I went to turn on the computer like normal. as I left
the room, I hear a loud smacking pop with a thud kind of sound. Well, I thought
that someone was trowing rocks at the window where our computer is. So, being
alarmed, I called for Todd to help me. He entered the smoking computer room and
swore. I still had no idea what was going on when he announced that the
modum/router had gone out and we would be needing a new one. He said taht it
smelled like something electric had gone as well as a capasitor had blown. He
instantly called our ISP and they promptly shipped us another one. then we
received it the next day. However, that too was broken because even getting out
of the box something inside was big and loose moving around in the unit and the
on switch seemed to be pressed in pretty badly. So, we took both bad ones to
the store and finaly after nearly a week we are back on line. I really hope and
pray that we don't have an experience like this again. I don't like
electricity. I Pray that nothing goes wrong especially when Todd is gone.
YUCK!!! Ane, I had no idea that it was anything other than a rock.
