Subject: reformatted poem: Springtime in February

February is usually a cold month that is so dreary,
Full of days that are boring and weary.
Sunshine is often weak or does not remain that long in the sky,
Snowflakes, like sputtering birds quickly do fly.
Springtime is not on the scene,
For it is not the seasonal sceme.
Then,
Suddenly, springtime begins to happily knock at each and every NYC door,
We applaud and jump up and down on the carpeted floor.
Temperatures up to the 60's do rise,
Birds begin to sweetly tweet at sunrise.
Little buds begin to appear on the trees,
We no longer shiver or freeze.
When we step outside into the warm balmy air,
We are like a budding flower smiling with sunshine's glowing flare.
Boots and a heavy coat we are no longer forced to wear.
A heavy hat no longer messes up our already combed and brushed hair.
For five days, we were treated to spring in February and it was indeed a treat
and a pleasure.
We rejoiced
 in merry measure.
Unfortunately, old man winter behaved in such a cruel and nasty manner with
such a terrible fight,

With howling gusting winds that screamed all night.
When the quarrel was over, the battle was won,
Once again there appeared the coldness of a weak winter sun.
But springtime did not disappear for long,
In another month, we will be hearing springtime's cheerful bird's song.
