"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness
was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved
upon the face of the waters" (Genesis 1:2).
Earth's beginning was much like a hydroponic garden.
It would be just as accurate to say that "The earth
came into existence without form, and void." In other
words, God creaed the earth in stages. He started with
this vast expanse of frozen water, thawed some of it,
then formed some of that water into this planet. Then
God rearrnged the water molecules to form dry land.
The "void" part was solved when God created life.
